Structure

The claim ledger

A claim is entered once and then linked to everything that bears on it: the evidence supporting it, the records contradicting it, the uncertainty attached to each quantity, the replication attempts and their independence, the decision state the evidence currently justifies, and the revision history of all of the above.

Publication

What the Institute publishes

  • Methodological material: how a class of claim is examined, and where that class commonly fails.
  • Synthetic worked cases, clearly marked as constructions, used to show record structure and reasoning.
  • Corrections and supersessions to the Institute's own public material, with the reason stated.

Partner review output is confidential by default. Where a partner consents to publication, the record is released with its contradiction register and decision state intact — a published record with the disagreement removed would misrepresent the review.

The worked case on this page is synthetic. Record identifiers, values, and instruments in it are constructed for demonstration and correspond to no real experiment or group.
