Deep Forensics and Artifact Elimination System
Attack the measurement before attacking the theory.
Experimentally SupportedContradictedQuarantined
Systematically enumerates instrumentation, environmental, and analysis artifacts that could produce the observed signal, then defines the control that eliminates each one.
Institute module developed within the KRYOS v6 framework ecosystem. Established scientific methods retain their conventional attribution.
When to use
Whenever an anomalous signal is a candidate for further investment.
When not to use
Never skipped — it is a mandatory gate before any elevated evidence label.
Required inputs
- Raw data
- Calibration records
- Apparatus and environment description
- Analysis code or steps
Optional inputs
- Null runs
- Environmental monitoring logs
- Maintenance history
Assumptions and constraints
- The mundane explanation is assumed until eliminated by a control.
Process steps
- 01Enumerate the artifact attack surface across instrument, environment, procedure, and analysis.
- 02Rank artifacts by ability to reproduce the observed signal.
- 03Specify an eliminating control for each ranked artifact.
- 04Check analysis pipeline for leakage, selection, and rounding effects.
- 05Publish the residual-risk statement.
Human review gates
- Independent internal reviewer confirms the artifact inventory is complete.
- Lab Director accepts residual risk before evidence is elevated.
Primary output — Artifact elimination report with residual-risk statement.
- artifact_id, class, mechanism, reproduces_signal (bool)
- eliminating_control, control_status, evidence_ref
- residual_risks[], analysis_pipeline_findings[]
Failure signals
- Signal magnitude tracks an environmental variable more closely than the driven parameter.
- Effect disappears under blinded analysis.
Quarantine triggers
- An unaddressed artifact can reproduce the full observed effect.
