When not to use

Before artifact elimination has been completed.

Required inputs

  • Claim statement
  • Supporting evidence chain
  • Artifact elimination report

Optional inputs

  • Analysis code
  • Reviewer history
  • Funding context

Assumptions and constraints

  • The attack is on the claim, not on the people making it.

Process steps

  1. 01Restate the claim in its strongest defensible form.
  2. 02Attack measurement validity, then analysis, then provenance.
  3. 03Test for incentive and interpretation bias.
  4. 04Attempt to construct a mundane account of the full effect.
  5. 05Issue a verdict with the strongest surviving objection.

Human review gates

  • PI responds to each objection in writing before the verdict is finalised.

Primary output — Red-team verdict with surviving objections and required remediation.

  • claim_restatement, attack_lines[]
  • surviving_objections[] ranked by severity

Failure signals
